Project ECHO has an exciting new opportunity in our ECHO IT team for a Systems Network Analyst. The successful individual will be an integral part of our programming team and will perform as a skilled senior back-end programmer who specializes in managing our infrastructure and securing our applications and data. This is a combined Sysadmin / Developer position, known as "DevOps." The primary duties of this position consists of; protecting applications and data from accidental loss or deliberate attacks; maintaining service ability; automating everything possible; managing data backups; migrating data securely; and developing and enforcing our internal security policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience hosting software applications in a cloud environment, such as AWS
Familiarity with one or more automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible
Experience with intrusion detection and monitoring, and use of systems such as OSSEC
Experience with PHP security best practices
Experience with modern encryption methods; have a good understanding on their strengths and limitations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
